Ways to Direct Traffic to Your Website

By Dan Chapman

On the internet content is king, but even the best content wont bring in traffic, if people don't know where your content is located. So the million dollar question is how to get traffic to you website? There are many ways you can get traffic to your website; however in this article we will just focus on the best ways to draw traffic to your website.

Pay Per Click

If you are offering a specific service, such as a design service or an internet marketing service, chances are that you are just a small website in a pool full of various websites that offer the very same service. Then how do you get traffic to your website? Well simple you advertise, there are various forms of advertising online and when it comes to selling a service, then banner ads and PPC advertising works best. However these two forms of advertising are a double edged sword, they can slice through your competition just as they can slice through your advertising revenue. So you will need to set boundaries and target specific markets. For instance if you are a US based business, it will be a good idea to just focus on the US and European market, people in India wouldn't care much about your design service so you don't want to waste your money on their clicks. On the other had you would probably be willing to pay double for a potential client from the UK to click on your ad, since you have a better chance of converting them to a sale.

Banner Ad's

Banner ads are another great way to get traffic to your website. You wont need to pay per click just book your ad space for a specified period and enjoy unlimited traffic to your website. However you will need to do some research to find out the best place to put-up your banner ad. An ad for your design service wouldn't do much good on a website that offers engineering information, you would however have better results if you placed your banner ad on a website that had web design tutorials.

Article writing

A good free method that some of the experts in internet marketing utilize is article writing. Writing articles with good content and useful information is a great way to get traffic to your site. Make sure you include links to your website at the bottom of your article. You can submit your articles through a site on the internet that then blasts the article to several article directories, which then creates back links to your site. Search engines like Google love this and it will help you get higher rankings with them and the other search engines too.

Submit your website to as many search engines and directories as possible. This will increase your page rank and in turn direct traffic to your website. These are just a few simple ways to direct targeted traffic to your website and as you can see that attracting traffic to your website is not difficult, but it is certainly time consuming. Don't expect results overnight.

As a matter of fact, the trend of promoting websites through offline measures has become quite popular and is actually gaining a lot of popularity. These techniques are also known as OOH advertising measures or Out Of Home advertising measures.

The modern advertising companies put a lot of emphasis on these advertising techniques as they believe that, it is important to make a place in the visitor's mind, rather than occupying just a little corner in the web world. Basic Stream of Free Targeted Traffic

By Lakshay Behl

Have you ever wondered what separates newbies from successful internet marketers?

It's not the products that they have. It's not even the copy or the salesletter. It's not even the amount of time spent in marketing.

It's just ONE BIG THING.

And that big thing is TRAFFIC.

I have met far too many new internet marketers who are struggling to get traffic. And I am yet to meet a successful internet marketer who is not getting traffic. It is ACTUALLY that straightforward. If you want to know the bank balance of on internet marketer, you just have to know the amount of traffic they are getting.

Because the truth is TRAFFIC=SALES.

That's the biggest truth of internet marketing.

Most people who are newbies in internet marketing think that the successful guys are getting a lot of traffic from the JV deals. But what they overlook and definitely fail to realize is that beneath those peaks on the graph of traffic which comes from JV's, there is a basic flow of visitors to any successful marketer's website.

It's NOT that obvious. But its definitely the truth. There is a stream of Free, Targeted Visitors that the marketers are getting to their websites. And I must confess, this is why they are getting those golden JV Deals. This is why they have their list. And this one is Big...

"This is Why They Do Not Depend On Any One Else For Their Success"

Look, Internet Marketing is all about making that success for yourself. And the need for free targeted traffic is obvious. Which is where list building starts. Which is where the first few sales start coming in. this is where the CONFIDENCE starts building.

So, why do you need this stream of free targeted traffic. To begin with, the very first benefit of having a stream of Free Target Traffic is that you do not have to see the days where you are not making any sales at all. You see, if you set up your business properly, then you need to have your own stream of free targeted traffic. You need to do some groundwork. Which is more or less like laying the foundation for any business. And this is what the fruits of the labor are. A stream of free targeted visitors to your website.

So how much traffic can you expect? To begin with, not millions. Not even hundred thousand visitors per month (unless your article or video gets viral which is very unlikely if you are not making it specifically to be viral). But you can expect 200-500 visitors per day. Unique targeted traffic, all free. And these numbers keep increasing over time if you want them to! You build a small list and then you reduce your efforts drastically.

Of course once you reach this level, then your groundwork is complete and you would want to take your success to the next level where you start build relationship with your readers and establish yourself as an expert in their eyes. That's when you start going places. To meet new people. To meet more successful marketers. To meet famous marketers. To ask for JV Deals. To start building your own products and your own marketing funnel.

Is there any way you can skip this stage where you need to do the groundwork?

I would say NO. It's like the compulsory graduation process. You may have all the knowledge and intelligence in the world but you can not be a lawyer or a doctor or an engineer unless you have that degree. And to get that, you need to prove your ability and skills to the people who are already there ie the successful marketers. And how do you do that? Welll, by taking the test ie getting a basic stream of free targeted traffic to your website.

I am Lakshay Behl. I know how difficult and frustrating it could be to get that basic stream of free targeted traffic. And that is why I have created this video course to explain to you everything step by step how to get that basic stream of free targeted traffic to your website... Get it NOW.

Web 2.0 - Time Waster Or Life Saver in Getting Targeted Traffic?

By Michael Mondesir

We've all heard it by now.

"Man, It's truly democratic!"
"We can make money with NO EFFORT AT ALL using this! We can change the WORLD!"

The enthusiastic cry of the Internet community regarding the phenomenon known as Web 2.0, the medium by which the humble Internet user can interact with the wider world...

And even profit from it!

There are quite a few long-winded definitions of Web 2.0 around. I've got a shorter one.

Ready?

Interaction

That's it.

It comes in many forms but the key is whether you can interact with the site and, indeed, other users of the site.

I guess you really want to know two things:

Should You Believe The Hype?

I believe it was the great philosopher, Anon, who said " I think hype is overrated ".

Hype aside, Web 2.0 holds a lot of promise. Never before have we been able to contact people from the past and bring them back into the fold, while meeting new people we could not have met previously without taking a plane somewhere.

Share pictures and even videos of ourselves in funny or embarrassing situations. If you like that sort of thing.

It allows us to build multiple communities of friends and place them in different " compartments " of our lives. Socialising, hobbies, dating, music, you name it.

Fantastic.

But there is a downside.

You could very easily fritter your life away on these sites. Many people spend hours checking how many "friends" they have or writing on someone's "wall", which is all great fun but at the end of it, you're exhausted.

Plus, the only people making money are the site creators, who either sell the site to a multinational, or they keep it and rake it in on advertising.
Not my idea of a good use of my time.

How Can You Profit From Web 2.0?

First a disclaimer. Anyone who thinks they can make money ANYWHERE with no effort, is delusional and will stay poor. That said, those prepared to WORK can get quality, targeted traffic with this.

Join a few of the social networking sites, one at a time. Navigate the site, Check the popular profiles and set yours up in a similar way. Invite people to join you and soon, you'll have targeted traffic built around you.

Now, don't force any sales messages onto people. Build trust with them and show that you're a genuine person. Leave hints about your product around your site. Post bulletins with subtle messages. Write a blog about your work. There will be interest if you've done this right.

Use youtube and other video sites to promote your message and build your personal brand by uploading short, attention grabbing clips. Again, look at the popular ones for ideas but don't plagiarise, obviously. Your integrity is everything, online and in life.

Ultimately, you have a choice. You can use Web 2.0 to waste time or to save your business life.

Buy Website Content and Increase Your Website Traffic

By Candice Pardue

As a Web business owner, you're probably anxious to see how many of your website visitors will actually become paying customers. But you face the same problem as all other online businesses. You need lots of traffic before you can test your presentations. How do you get traffic? One proven method that thousands of businesses are already using with tremendous results is buying website content.

Explain "Buy Website Content"

To buy website content means to buy well-written articles that will target your audience and attract free search engine traffic through search engines such as Google, Yahoo, MSN, AOL, etc. Like most other websites, yours will probably rely greatly on free search engine traffic to build your business. After all, there's nothing like bringing in targeted visitors who were already diligently searching for your products or services... and receiving these visitors free of charge! These surfers are often ready and willing to buy if you have what they're seeking.

When you buy website content, you're not only buying articles that relate to your business, but you're building your image in the eyes of your customers, other related websites, and the search engines. You see, search engine robots use certain algorithms to determine which website is the most relative to different subjects. These algorithms include, but are not limited to, keywords within your website content, images and link text, website content keywords and relevance, links to your website from other related website, and your overall Web presence.

Buy Website Content that Lasts

Besides looking at only how much website content your pages contain, the search engines also look at the quality of your content. They consider how many other websites might contain the same exact content as yours. This is why you shouldn't rely completely on free articles that are provided through article directories. These can be useful at times, but they can also hurt your ranking in the search engines if you're not careful.

Uniqueness is important because you are building your site up as an authority on subjects related to your business. The more unique content articles on your website, the better chances you'll have of reaching top results in the search engines.

Completely Unique versus Almost Unique Website Content

There's a trend online today to buy complete rights to content articles when buying website content. This means you (the buyer) can go on a website or contact a content writer and ask the writer to write an article only for you. The writer will never sell the article again, and you'll have a completely new, unique article.

Unfortunately, this trend is exhausting many writers. Writers have to write something new every time, and the articles can become bland if you use the same writer for all your content. On the other hand, using multiple writers can also be a hassle because you will be working with several people instead of one.

Another trend, however, is to pay a slightly lower price for your articles and allow the writer to keep rights to the articles. This allows the writer to sell the articles to others, and provides quality articles for your website. The writer doesn't get frustrated with having to write brand new ideas all the time, and you still receive high quality writing.

Unlike free article directories, buying usage rights ensures that your article will not likely appear on thousands of websites. Just be sure the writer doesn't intend to place the article on free directories later, but that the writer agrees to only sell the usage of the article. You will still have a great article that thousands of others won't have, but the writer and you benefit from this type of relationship.

Create a Content Strategy

Before contacting a writer, create a strategy to buy website content. Decide what types of content articles are likely to bring targeted traffic. Set a budget for buying website content.

Then, create a list of topics and decide how many articles you would like to add to your site on a weekly basis. Do you want to add one article per week, or five articles per week? Consider how much time you'll have to spend on adding articles to your website, and also give the writer enough time to write quality articles in between. Quality content will bring long-term benefits for your website.

Content Buying Tip: If your website is about bicycling or sells bikes and bike parts, you should consider buying articles about bicycling tips, bike safety, biking with family, biking for exercise, biking with kids, biking gear, bicycle mechanic tips, bicycle repair, bicycle trips and excursions, etc. Think of anything that your target audience might want to read.

When you buy website content, you're getting much more than an article for your website, you're getting years' worth of free advertising through the search engines!

Using Twitter As a Traffic Generation Tool

By Karen L. Brooks

Do you understand how to utilize Web 2.0 to promote your business? Most of us are experimenting and not sure just how we are going to use these tools to drive sales in our organizations.

Twitter is one of the tools that can quickly help you to focus on your strategy to promote your business online, quickly!!

It's easy! Just answer the one question....What are you doing now? The catch, you only have 140 characters or less, to accomplish your mission. The good news is that you need to give the basic information, and not take them into "information overload". All you need is a quick sentence to tell people about the latest development in your business or posting on your website. Master this concept, and you are on your way to developing a loyal group of followers eager to learn more about you.

Twitter and blogs work together. Tweet (a twitter post) to get them interested in viewing your blog. Your blog address can be posted in your profile, as well as using an URL link in your tweet, directing them to the blog.

In today's society, time is at a premium. A series of well thought out, short and sweet tweets can actually help you maintain a loyal following. Blogs, at times, are lengthy, and people just don't have the time to do this on a regular basis.

Here are several strategies to keep you focused:

1. Keep continuity in your tweets. Think of each tweet as a headline, enticing your audience to click to read more.

2. Break your blog articles into a main point, tweeting only a major point.

3. Tweet about subjects important to your business, the How's, Why's and When's.

4. Ask questions at times, rather than posting statements. Get your audience to respond back to you with their thoughts and views.

5. Ask readers what they would like to see in your blog.

6. Put a poll or survey on your blog and ask your readers to vote through a tweet!

7. Tweet daily!!!

It's all about building a relationship and a business. Post useful information relevant to your business, and traffic will build over time. You will meet some great friends along the way.

Bum Marketing Adventure to Wild Profits Techniques Revealed

By Craig Hornung

Here we discuss what tactics to use to experience wild success in your own bum marketing adventure. These techniques listed below will help you spin your article success to new heights. Here are few techniques to help make your wild success.

Write For What You Can Get Listed For

When preparing to write an article for bum marketing make sure you are writing for a keyword phrase that you can get listed for. So for example the keyword phrase I'm currently looking at has 14,000 exact phrase matches with a little more traffic than a keyword phrase with 2,000 exact phrase matches. Most likely it will be ten times easier to write for the second keyword phrase and get listed higher than the first. Not only will you be more likely to rank in the top 1-6 in the search engine but you'll likely draw more traffic because of this.

Write Catchy Headlines And Provide People With What They Want

Remember, your not just writing to get traffic your writing to get traffic that sticks around likes what you have to say and ultimately is loyal to you because of it. Write with passion and conviction on your topic. Make it relevant to your audience and they will reward you back.

Use Your Keyword Phrase Your Trying To Get Listed For

Make sure within your article you use the exact keyword phrase your trying to get listed for. However, do not over use it otherwise the search engines might think you're spamming. Also try and use similar words to your keyword phrase. Search engines will then determine that your better optimized for the phrase your trying to list for.

Back Link To Your Articles

Use social bookmarking websites to increase the amount of links directing towards your articles. This will increase their ranking over time and get you indexed faster.

Quality Not Quantity

Remember that all things listed above must be done well if you want to have a successful article. Take your time while writing articles. Go over your articles and make sure they appeal to your audience.

I have created a complete course for helping you be successful at internet marketing. My course goes through step-by-step what you will need to succeed and make the income you've always wanted online. This set of courses is available for free at im-corner.com.

Keyword Magic Professional - Find Relevant Traffic Driving Keywords Fast

By Craig Hornung

Relevant keywords are essential for building a rock solid internet business. You need to find the right keywords when it comes to writing articles, making ads, and writing keyword meta tags. The more information you know about the keywords you are using the more you can make that knowledge pay out in cash dividends.

Doing traditional keyword research can be a pain. Not to mention it is a waste of your time to be doing mindless keyword research when you could be working on other aspects of your business. In traditional article marketing good keyword research makes the difference between a successful article or not. To do this you'll need to come up with what is commonly called a long-tail keyword. These keywords tend to have low competition and marginal amounts of traffic to them. However they're highly relevant and the user usually knows exactly what they want.

Things you need to know before writing an article or ad in terms of keywords...

1. How competitive is the keyword for searches?
2. How many searches does the keyword have on it?
3. How many ads are already placed? How expensive are the costs per click?
4. What kind of long-tail keywords did I forget about?

There are many great pay per month keywords. Among the best pay per month keyword trackers cost thousands of dollars. Some of the cheaper ones cost around $50 a month. However, these keyword tools provide almost the exact same data as a one time pay tool. In fact some of these keyword tools actually extract data from the pay per month tools!

Having a keyword tool which gives you increased information and provides data gathering much faster than manual queries pays dividends time and time again.

I use to use a program called AdWords Analyzer but have found that Keyword Magic Professional was much better. Keyword Magic Professional extracts data from one of the best keyword databases on the internet and is nearly a fraction of the cost. Find out more about how this program saves you time and money for your online business.

Traffic - What You Should Be Concerned About When Buying It For Your Website

By Marvin Kane

You know what you want and its money. Traffic that is not targeted will not bring you money-it will just make you think you are getting closer to a huge payday when you are not. Buying traffic is a false reality. Wouldn't you rather people buy from you instead of you always buying needless services that do not work? This article will unravel the mystery of buying traffic and why it doesn't work.

Here's a neat trick. Go to youtube and put up an ad and then buy some traffic. The results would be thousands of hits but no sales. A sale is what pays the bills. Untargeted traffic just makes you look good. Do you want to look like you make money or would you actually like to do it? To people who do not know it would look like someone is making a lot of money when they are about to be evicted from there home. Traffic is just that traffic.

Don't Trade Dollars For Non-Sense

By definition traffic means to trade. So would you trade a Rolex watch for a picnic basket? Well if you buy traffic that's what you are doing. You are trading dollars for non-sense. What the traffic sellers and promoters do other than make themselves rich is ask you to put up an ad that will pop up or pop under to a potential visitor. The hope is that the visitor clicks on your ad goes to your website and buys your service. Yeah right. I have pop up blockers like everyone else I would never see your ad. But it does pop up. Your website stats report would show that your ad has been seen by a human when really it hasn't. So what do you do? You keep revamping your website. Then you learn about SEO and at the end of the day guess what you are still broke.

Experience Is The Best Teacher

How do I know this? 20 years ago buying traffic was the thing to do and you could make lots of money from it. Today it doesn't work. I have learned over the years that old school marketing has no place in modern times. Do not be a victim.

The best way to get traffic to your website is to create back links. That is what you do today. If you do that with some good keywords your website will be the rave, the next big hit. So do your research and do not buy untargeted traffic. Write an article and let Google do the work for you. Then one day soon you will have all of the money you need.

Website Traffic - Using Text Advertising Effectively

By Patricia Lemieux-Lewis

Traffic to your home based business website is the "to die" goal of every internet marketer. Having a website does not mean that people will automatically visit it. As a home based business website owner you must create the interest to "grab" the attention through various forms of marketing. Text advertising is the most common form of advertising. Listed below are some necessary steps to generate interest in your home based business website through text advertising:

  • Advertise to the correct market Focus your ads to who you want to sell to. Generalized ads, in an attempt to attract a lot of people, do the exact opposite. They are passed over and attract no one. Advertise specific products and services rather than "the mall" and any keywords related should also be specific. For example, music is a huge category. If you are promoting R&B music the ad should be specific to R&B music stating why the reader wants it. Any keywords used should also be specific. Keywords like "music" will attract a lot of browsers but a keyword like "r&b music of the 90s" will attract those specifically looking for that music. You receive less hits but the hits you do receive are potential customers.
  • Satisfy a need People go looking on the internet because they want something related to your home based business. And they may not know exactly what that "something" is. Your ad must convince them that your product or service will satisfy that "something." For example, a person goes looking for a way to deal with her cat spraying in the house. She doesn't know what she is looking for. Your home based business happens to sell a remarkable pet odor remover. She may not find an answer to what she was looking for but you can help her deal with the smelly problem. Your ad must convey that.
  • Get your ads seen There are many free ways to have your ad seen if the cost of Google AdWords, AdSense or Yahoo is too prohibitive. Text ad exchanges will show your ad, usually 1:1 if, by adding a little code to your website, you advertise for them. Some text ad exchanges will give credit just for surfing their exchange. In Search of Your Own Perpetual Traffic Machine

By Titus Hoskins

The Internet is such an unknown commodity anything is possible. One of the most intriguing questions concerns the idea of a perpetual traffic machine. Create a website and design a system of automatic programs (both interior and exterior) that delivers content and backlinks to a site that updates itself automatically and keeps growing without any help from the creator. In the process you build a flow of traffic that never stops, even if the site is abandoned or not touched for a couple of years or never again.

Is such a perpetual traffic system really possible?

Before you conjure up pictures of HAL and creepy talking computers in distant space... realize that question may carry more weight than it would seem at first glance. But is it like its predecessor, the perpetual motion machine -- just more an illusion than actual fact?

For curiosity's sake if for nothing else, the idea of a perpetual traffic machine does require further investigation. Such a system would have special interest for millions of webmasters whose main task is acquiring traffic for their sites, not to mention the potential for monetary gain a PTM (rhymes with ATM) would produce.

Some credence was given to the idea recently when Tinu Abayomi-Paul, a well-known online free traffic expert, produced with the help of Marlon Sanders an info-product entitled "The Evergreen Traffic Machine."

Tinu's story is very interesting. Tinu had built up a whole array of sites and optimized them successfully for countless keywords in all the major search engines. She had built up a steady flow of traffic, resulting in thousands of visitors "a day" to her sites. This in itself is not that extraordinary, but that's not the full story.

Because of a personal illness she abandoned or left alone most of her sites for over a year or more -- only to discover the traffic systems she had put into place didn't just dry up, they still kept producing tons of traffic even though the sites weren't being updated.

The traffic was still coming. The traffic was still fresh.

Tinu basically built her perpetual traffic system around three major areas: High Profile Article Marketing, Exact Keyword Focus and Blogging/RSS Feeds. Tinu's system proves you can create a traffic system for a year or two, but the real question is will it still produce traffic five years from now? Fifty years from now? How about a hundred years?

The real question: how long will such a system work without fresh input of unique content like the viral articles and blog posts now feeding it? This question is even more tantalizing when you consider it is now possible to create fresh content on your sites with RSS feeds, blog comments and user contributed content.

What's more intriguing is the fact that all aspects of a website can be automated, including payment for all renewals: domain, hosting, autoresponders... as well as the collection of revenues such as affiliate commissions and advertising fees.

Are we at the stage where the Internet will be filled with these automated human-less web sites drawing traffic/visitors and slowly building and expanding on their own for eternity? Many cynics would argue this is already the case with the majority of sites on the web.

In case you like that idea and want to fully embrace this brave new automated perpetual Internet, here are a few tips to create your own eternal traffic machine:

1. Build lists and pre-load your AR system with follow-up messages to keep visitors coming back to your site. You can rotate these messages and ask your subscribers to opt-in to different lists on related subject areas. Always ask your readers to recommend your content to others.

2. Use social bookmark software or links so that your visitors can easily bookmark your content which brings in both new links and new traffic. Simple programs like the one offered by Addthis.com will get your visitors building your backlinks for you, bringing in fresh visitors who in turn will also bookmark your content.

3. Write viral articles, reports and ebooks that have your backlinks in the resource boxes. Likewise, viral software programs can help bring a constant flow of traffic to your site. If your content is of a high quality and your themes universal... new sites will pick up your content and build your backlinks, creating fresh traffic. The search engines will also index these new links and your rankings will increase, bringing in more traffic.

4. Use blogging and RSS feeds to get your content out there. You can also use these RSS feeds to bring in new fresh content to your site. Creating new content will be your main obstacle to creating perpetual traffic... you can get new content from feeds but will it be unique? Comments in your blogs could bring in unique content but if you're not monitoring them, you must have solid software in place to fight against spam.

5. Have "Tell a Friend" forms on all your content. This will bring new traffic to your site, which can be self-refreshing as new people discover your content.

6. Encourage user generated content such as articles, comments, posts... you can even have a community monitoring system where your site's members monitor this new content.

7. Form JV alliances with webmasters in your related field. Do co-registration so that you help build each other's lists and traffic.

8. Likewise, if you have products to sell, create an affiliate program to get your affiliates to build your traffic for you. Affiliates are an excellent source of permanent traffic.

9. Automate all aspects of the running and managing of your website. Set up automatic payments for your AR system, hosting, domain renewal, PPC payments... thru PayPal or credit card. Likewise, receive affiliate commissions thru PayPal or direct deposit. Many advertising programs like Google Adsense offer direct deposit.

10. PPC Traffic -- While we have mainly looked at free traffic systems, don't forget creating a PTM is relatively easy with Pay Per Click advertising if you know what you're doing. Target less competitive keywords to keep your costs down, tie this traffic into a good squeeze page for feeding your AR system with leads and have a good landing page that converts. You can create a system that delivers perpetual traffic and pays for itself from your affiliate commissions and advertising fees.

In summary, the argument for the existence of the PTM mainly relies upon the quality of your content or site. Is it unique enough to draw in new visitors? Does your topic have universal appeal that people never tire of? Does it solve or offer advice on a common human problem? Will or does it have a viral "word of mouth" element to it?

As we move to a more and more automated world, all the automated programs and hardware are in place for the creation of such perpetual traffic machines.

Computers, autoresponders, content management software, RSS feeds, viral marketing, direct deposit, automatic payments... and the list goes on. If we haven't already created the perpetual traffic machine; we are getting tangibly close to doing just that.

Building Search Engine Traffic for Websites

By John Mcdonald

Whether you have recently built a new website or are considering it, one aspect that must be considered is how to get people to see it. The best way to generate traffic without running up a huge advertising budget is to rank well in search engine results. This process of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is competitive, yet fairly straightforward - and it can result in long-term, targeted traffic that does not cost you per user.

SEO begins with identifying the keywords that relate to your product or the topic of information you provide. Ideally, the text of the domain name should match these targeted keywords because this will be the first clue that helps the search engines understand what the website you are building is all about. A site named OrangeWidgets.com will have a natural advantage if people are searching for orange widgets. Of course, you don't have to focus exclusively on the keywords within your domain - you can write about anything you like. Other keywords just won't have quite the same advantage.

The second important step is to include content on the web pages directly related to the search terms you want to rank highly for. This would usually involve explaining the product or concept, comparing it to similar alternatives, and/or including reviews and testimonials. The title tags of each page should match the specific topic of the page, and additional pages should have URLs that match the title and most important keywords. Target search words could be bold, or written in a larger font, but the best bet is to keep this to a minimum because over-optimization could be seen as a sign of spam. A safe guideline here is to make sure that the page is useful and readable for your web visitors.

The final fundamental key to SEO is building links back to your website from other domains. Link building is probably the most important aspect - search engines won't even know your domain exists until another websites show them where you are with a link. Three main factors will cause these links to improve your search engine rankings:

  • the readable text of the link should match the target keywords;
  • the links should be placed in related pages that discuss similar topics;
  • and it is best if the links come from sites that rank highly already

The fine details of this SEO process are debated and refined daily, but the basic strategies outlined here will help anyone get started with online promotion and building better search engine rankings. Most keywords are very competitive, but if you produce comprehensive information on your website it is fairly easy to rank for longer search phrases that ask more specific questions. As time goes on and your links grow, your site will rank higher for the shorter targeted phrases and words.

The One Traffic Secret You Need To Know

By Michael S Hutchins

Traditional free methods, such as optimizing one's site for the search engines, is time consuming and Google is fickle. Paid methods, such as Google Adwords, are getting more expensive by the day. So, what is the solution? This article will disclose a method of generating traffic that even some of the marketing "gurus" are not aware of!

The Internet is becoming more "social"than ever before. The so called "Web 2.0" sites are dramatically increasing all the time. These social networking sites receive huge amounts of traffic. While most people are aware of the popularity of social networking sites, they tend to overlook the popularity of forums. Forums are Internet "communities" of individuals who share similar interests or hobbies. Members of forums post topics that are up for "discussion" by other members. A discussion topic, and the follow up posts by the members, are called "threads".

Forums have either published rules, or socially accepted rules of etiquette. Generally speaking, no promoting of goods or services is accepted. When first joining a forum, it is best to be "low-key". Introduce yourself in a professional manner, and than sit back and read what other members are saying. It is wise not to contribute too much at first. After several visits to the forums, gradually start to post threads.

The nature of your threads will determine how interested the members of the forum are in what you have to say. While selling or promoting goods and services is forbidden, members of most forums are allowed to post a url in the signature line at the end of a post. To create interest in your threads, and traffic to your website, the key is to be controversial. Select topics that you are familiar with and passionate about, and when the opportunity presents itself, take an opposite point of view.

The more controversial that you become, the more members will be drawn to you. You certainly should not be rude or offensive, just defend an unpopular point of view. Once your reputation is established on any given forum, move on to a new forum and repeat the process.

Pretty soon, lots of "eyeballs" are going to be drawn to your website in addition to your threads!

Traffic to Your Site Using Free Methods

By Nancy Kraska

There is an old saying "It takes money to make money". While this is true in most cases, the versatility of the Internet makes it possible to make money without investing a dime. When working online the main ingredient is traffic to your website. It makes sense that with traffic you get sales.

While there are many ways to boost your traffic, many sites don't have the capital that others have to generate more traffic for your site. To get your business going you don't have to spend a cent; all you need is a plan, determination, and a lot of patience. You also must have the desire and resolve to do hard work and research to generate more traffic for your site.

It really is very rewarding to have traffic for your site without spending a single penny. Everywhere you look on the Internet you will see websites and articles that offer ideas and ways for you to make money with spending any money. I am here to tell you that it is possible, as I have been doing it for years. One thing I won't tell you in this article is that I am a millionaire, or that using only free advertising is going to make you one. But by using some of the free tried and true methods outlined here, you stand a good chance of succeeding.

By taking advantage of online forums and online communities, you can target a certain group that fits the certain demographic that you are looking for. You can discuss about lots of things about the niche that you represent or offer.

Another great advantage is that you know what you are getting into and you will be prepared. Build your companies reputation with online communities and forums by showing others within what your company represents. By building a reputation and building trust with the people in these forums and online communities you are showing your expertise and knowledge.

Provide people with a catalog of your products and interesting and entertaining articles through newsletters. You can use a squeeze page for sign up, create a sign up form on your website both can be done through a good autoresponder .

If you make it really interesting and entertaining, more people will sign up for your newsletter and recommend it to other people. The more people who signs up for your newsletter, the more people there will be that will go to your site increasing your traffic.

Trading links with other webmasters. One way of doing this is to work with a company such as Linkalizer or one of the other link services. Other like websites are listed there and links are exchanged with other sites. You can also contact the webmaster of sites directly and ask to exchange links with them. Be sure and include your website address in any and all correspondence. Exchanging links benefits both sites. Every time someone clicks on these sites, the potential for them to click on your site increases. Not only that but by having backlinks to your site from others you increase your page ranking. The search engines like backlinks.

Write articles that could draw the attention of people that have interest in your product. Try writing articles that will provide tips and guides to other entrepreneurs. Writing articles that provide good service and knowledge to other people would provide the necessary mileage your traffic flow needs.

Many sites offer free submission and posting of your articles or you can use a program such as Article Submitter or other submitter services, which you can download for free! Using good keywords and content within the article helps the consumer to find the articles they need. Including a brief bio of yourself along with your website address lends credibility to you and provides access to your site.

If you are not confident enough to know if you have good content for your site, then do a search for website content. A lot of free information is on the Internet for your use. Try not to copy any content word for word, but put the article into words you would use, thus making it your content. Do this a few times and you will be writing your own content in no time at all! Be sure and use keywords and phrases related to your site. With the right keywords, you could get high rankings in search engine results without the costs.

These are just a few of the methods myself and others have used to create traffic flow to our sites.

Increase Online Traffic

By Jeff Knize

Websites Owners Will Get More Overall Exposure

If you need to increase online traffic to your website, you don't need to purchase traffic to increase your online promotion... Because it can be received for free! Of course, it will come with a price... YOUR TIME!

But if you have more time than money, it may be in your best interest to start grasping a few traffic opportunities. Especially since there are no SEO (search engine optimization) fees associated with working on your site independently.

A WORD OF CAUTION - TIP: If you must hire an SEO Firm to work on your site, be sure they have a solid track record (that is available for viewing) or come recommended by a viable source. Speaking from past experience, an SEO company may promise a particular ranking or traffic increase but the result may never be obtained. And this comes with a price!

ONLINE TRAFFIC PROBLEMS

It is not as easy as some may claim. If done independently, it will require much learning and time. On the flip side, hiring an SEO Firm can be effective but at the same time costly. Also, it is crucial for you to know what the SEO Firm needs to be doing for you... so you know if they are working efficiently.

Traffic from articles has been a primary traffic source for many internet marketers, affiliate websites and ecommerce website owners. A major KEY to receiving article traffic is understanding the power of KEYWORDS. Keywords are simply searchable terms and phrases that people are keying in a search box on a search engine (Google, etc) while looking for things online.

Targeted Keywords are required for optimal traffic for ranking with articles.
For example, if you are selling treadmills and in-particular commercial treadmills, you want to target that. You don't want to create an article and make the article title: Treadmills. 1) You don't want to do this because chances are... a single keyword like treadmills, will likely be too competitive (to rank well using an article). 2) The keyword treadmill is not as specific or as targeted like commercial treadmill.

If a visitor lands on a website after searching Treadmills, what will they be looking for? It seems obvious but the KEYWORD is not as targeted as you may think. Visitors will be looking for treadmill parts, treadmill manuals, treadmill tips and many other related terms. The term commercial treadmill is more targeted as it calls out to a specific search term.

To increase online traffic, it is also recommended to do keyword research and find a keyword that is more targeted to your pages. For example, if you had a page about commercial treadmill reviews, then that page would be even more targeted for your visitor. Therefore, when visitors land on this page about commercial treadmill reviews, the visitor immediately finds the page highly relevant to what they are seeking.

KEYWORD TIP: Typically, the longer the keyword phrase, the more targeted the keyword will be.

So now that you have all of this information, you need to use it wisely in order to increase online traffic using articles. Start by creating an article with the Article Title after a KEYWORD --- that displays a little bit of search volume. Use a keyword tool by searching KEYWORD TOOL on any major search engine. Start with a small keyword (3-10 searches per day). This will be a confidence builder since smaller searched keywords OR long tail -- frequently rank very well in the search engines.

For even better search engine rankings, make the clickable words in the blue underlying link (anchor text) go back to your website... with the same article title keyword that you are trying to rank for. In addition, the keyword title should link back to a web page that discusses the keyword. To increase your conversion rate (website visitors into paying customers) on the webpage, have the same keyword in the title tag of your website. The topically related flow will dramatically improve rankings and your visitors experience!

If you need more online traffic, you can find more traffic topics at bettersiterankings.com. You will find screen capture video, SEO training information, an interactive forum and many other tools to increase online traffic to your website.
